Of all the troubles and struggles in life, there’s nothing that compares to the eternal glory awaits the sufferers.
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17 For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4
Before the Morning – Josh Wilson (Acoustic)
Even though I’ve seen this a few times already, this documentary never ceases to amaze me. The power of God is displayed in the smallest of atoms and His glory is revealed from the flower to the vast expense of the cosmos.
He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. Job 5:9
God of Wonders The Documentary (2009)
Expectations, heartbreak, the highs, the lows, humbling experiences, most importantly….lessons learnt. As the year draws near to the end, these words describe my entire year so far. Its been a while since my last post…haha its been forever. I have a few good reasons and a few poor excuses.
Poor excuses first; laziness. First lesson learnt this year. Just with university alone, I’ve learnt that laziness is very counter-productive (thank you captain obvious). The type of laziness I’m talking about is associated with the behaviour of procrastination. You could almost synonymously replace laziness with procrastination in my case. Although such lesson is useful when studying for a piece of paper that you receive after four years, it does not compare to the light bulb moment when applied to the scope of eternity.
I can see for the first time my weaknesses and limitations as a human being.
I’m not going to sit here rattling off thy righteous deeds I have done. Though if I were to, they would not be of my own will but of the Most Righteous One whom I know. Nothing I do will ever repay the debt I owe Him. All I can do is give Him all the glory. This post is addressed to those in faith for help or encouragement but all are welcomed to the table of the Lord. I do address repentance if you have not repented (have not submitted to the saving faith of Jesus Christ). But you must remember that to break an addiction you must submit to God through repentance. Grace is a free gift when you turn to God. God gives you this gift. However breaking free from addiction is not the problem, YOU ARE SET FREE WHEN YOU RECEIVE TRUTH. Truth which is Lord Jesus Christ. The problem many people have and I had is staying away from it. This is what I’ve learned and what has helped me.
So like any other person who is convicted by the Holy Spirit, and who has had my sinful ways revealed to me, it has built so much distaste of sin within me.
We are all still in sinful flesh even though we are born again and as Paul wrote, our regenerated spirit and flesh are at war with each other (Galatians 5:17). We can all agree that we have experienced, are going through or have just overcome bondage. BONDAGE of some sort of SINFUL act.
In my own experience I have tried…..and tried….tried some more…..to break through these sinful ways which have kept me in bondage and have done no good to my conscience. Here’s the catch:
…the thing is I thought I could overcome sin. I was ignorant of God’s Word….I let PRIDE stand in the way of my freedom, freedom made possible by the GRACE OF GOD.
Winter solstice for the southern hemisphere is here which means six months have flown by in the blink of an eye.
Today’s video special is this powerful video showing little acts of kindness that inspire. These shouldn’t be a suprise, rather they should be expected from every person in this world.
The best portion of a good man’s life:
His little, nameless unremembered acts of kindless and love
– William Wordsworth
Random Acts of Kindness caught on tape
A challenge for you this coming week, when the oppertunity presents itself, a little act of kindness won’t go astray. Remember that you do the act, no for any reward or recognition but to display kindness and love to a person in need. Display kindness knowing that one day in your tie of need someone might do the same for you.
What do I think of when I listen to this song? I don’t know it’s hard to explain but generally it’s more of a reflection and a time of relaxation. Great imagination works well with this piece. The only imagery that you will have as the song reaches its climax and then slowly fades away, will be the image of a green meadow blossoming with life under the blue sky and the wind rustling the tree-tops. But that’s just me, you may stare out your window on a quite afternoon while this plays in the background and see a partially overcast windy day.
What ever imagery you have will be very earthy. It is also a great stress reliever, very calming and peaceful and Yiruma composed a beautiful piece. Dream away… and hope to see you next time!

Have you read “Where did adventure go?!?!?”
It’s highly reccomended, it will take you where work is forgotten and you reflect on what you have done in life and what you should do and live life in the near future .
Ok so I bought a new GoPro Hero 3 yesterday and they told me to update the software before I can use features such as the wi-fi and remotely controlling your camera from your iPad or iPhone. So I unpacked my brand new GoPro and that was an adventure in itself. Then I went to the update page and watched their video showing how to update our camera software. GoPro video explained that the camera will turn off and on by itself and after a while the update will be finish.
