God of Wonders

Even though I’ve seen this a few times already, this documentary never ceases to amaze me. The power of God is displayed in the smallest of atoms and His glory is revealed from the flower to the vast expense of the cosmos.

He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.        Job 5:9

Global warming: It’s so true!

Parody or does CNN anchor Deb Feyerick think that global warming has caused Asteriod 2012 DA14 to do a close flyby? *Facepalm*

Those supportive of the theory of global warming warn that this phenomenon represents a major threat to life on earth, but is global warming also a threat beyond our planet? On the face of it, the “global” aspect of global warming would lead one to believe that the threat of climate change is somewhat localized. For Deb Feyerick, however, the challenges posed by global warming extend out into the solar system where they somehow created the circumstances that has led to a near-earth asteroid flyby on the 16 of February AST.

Comments from YouTube:

How long before they start calling the asteroid racist?”

Solar Eclipse: A wonder of our solar system

On Wednesday 14th of November, the very tip of Australia was lucky enough to experience a once in a lifetime event which will not happen again in another 300 years. I’m lucky that the solar eclipse happened in my own backyard. The eclipse was surreal, I thought I was dream the whole event. People who have witnessed a solar eclipse would know what the experience is like.

Lets talk Physics – Speed of Light Relativity

Ok, where should I begin. Well the world of science is mind boggling in its own right. God did create an extraordinary universe and of course our own galaxy, The Milky  Way Galaxy. Yes I do believe in God and yes you can refer to me as a creationist yada yada yada. Anyway, that could be a future post, my navigating of the universe is a bit off course.

Lets move on to some background Physics. First the two most notable men in Physics, Albert Einstein and Galileo. We start off with Galileo and his relativity theory. Galileo posed a simple idea that you need another reference point to judge velocity. The frame of reference that describes space and time. But Einstein had other plans, he generalised the Galilean invariance. He released postulates that state that the laws of physics are the same and that the velocity of light is independent of the motion. This video breaks it down into simpler terms. It uses the train analogy as an example and I advice you to watch because the next paragraph will be based on the video. Continue reading →
